Christmas Scratch-Off Card
Fun Scratch-Off Card
Have you ever scratched and won a prize card? In this science activity, we are going to make a DIY scratch-off card with special ink. You can make a fun and unique card for birthday, Christmas or for any occasions or holidays you want. Let's get to it!
Materials

paper
-
acrylic paint
-
dishwashing liquid
-
plastic film with sticky back
-
paintbrush
-
pen
-
scissors
-
coins
-
small container to hold your paint
Procedures

Fold the paper in half.

Draw five circles of different sizes and cut out the circles.

Draw five Christmas ornaments.

Color them and write some messages.

Glue the circles to the card.

Cover the messages with clear plastic film with sticky back.

If you don't have this type of plastic, it is fine to use clear packing tape.

Take the clear tape or plastic and laminate the circles.

Mix the paint and the dishwashing liquid.

Cover your messages with the mixture using a paintbrush.

You may need to paint a couple of layers to cover your entire messages.

Dry for a moment and do another coat on top.

Take a coin and check if it actually works.

Scratch it off!
